The Villa

Villa Rinascimento is a splendid Renaissance villa that dominates the valley of Santa Maria del Giudice.
It is an extraordinary place with beautiful panoramic views and a special serenity located less than 9km from the artistic cities of Lucca and Pisa.
The villa’s original and large rooms have been retained and have been decorated in the rustic style of the building itself. Bathroom facilities and a restaurant have been added on the ground floor..

The Annex

The “annex” are two adjacent buildings, about fifty meters from the main villa. Were built in the early nineties, and there are fourteen rooms in rustic style to appeal to the villa with beamed ceilings and solid wood furniture. Each entry has a large shared terrace, where you can relax and enjoy the magnificent panorama.

The History

The villa was a residence for the Counts of Mansi, brought by the dowry of the well-known Lucchese noble, Lady Lucida di Vittorio Camminati, the widow of Diversi who married Gasparo di Nicola Mansi in 1635. This Villa has two identifiable sections. The oldest is to the left side of the façade with doors and windows decorated in local limestone and chiselled to form flattened arched lintels. There is no specific date for the very simple structure, but it appears to date back to the fifteenth century.
